This ‘used’ cd came in the wrong jewel case, the inner sleeve was a slightly different color, the cd was never even played, and the cover read:

‘FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSE ONLY – SALE OR OTHER TRANSFER IS PROHIBITED – MUST BE RETURNED ON DEMAND OF RECORD COMPANY’

Out of the ten used cd’s which we bought from ‘different’ on-line stores, ten were marked with this label.

But why would the record company demand the return of something that it is selling?

Record companies began selling music on-line under the guise of diverse storefronts, as one will find when searching for a used cd/dvd on amazon.com. Thus, hundreds of on-line sellers are in reality the facade of the larger industry, undermining the artists.
